The shamois lasted much longer than a comparable Louis Garneau bib I have. Prior to that, I used Pearl Izumi and Fox shorts (not bibs). The Pearls generally have too thick padding for me and cut circulation. The Foxes were for mountain biking, but I finally graduated from Mtb shorts to bibs after using bibs on my road bike.These Sugois also fit well and seem pretty true to size. Just make sure you use all the applicable measurements in their fit guide as I went up a size because I was larger in the hips. The venting and wicking are pretty good too. You could go cheaper, but they won't be worth it."
